What information is synced?
When syncing with Companies House, the following details are brought into your file:
- Company name
- Company address
- Legal form
- Directors’ and secretaries’ names, start dates, and resignation dates
Where do we sync information from Companies House?
The imported data is utilised in the Statutory information (Directors, Secretaries and Shareholders) reconciliation, ensuring that the latest details from Companies House are reflected in your file.
How changes in Companies House are handled
Initial sync
When you first open the reconciliation, an yellow banner will appear at the top of the screen. This banner notifies you that Companies House has additional information that hasn’t been populated in your current template.
Populating the data
Clicking the "Use the data from Companies House" button on the right will automatically fill in the missing details, causing the yellow banner to disappear.
Updating Information
If any data at Companies House changes, the yellow banner will return. You will then have the option to update the fields by syncing the new information from Companies House.
