When using Odoo, the closing balance is automatically posted to an internal general ledger account, namely 99999. However, this internal Odoo account is not transmitted to Silverfin as a journal entry via the API. As a result, the closing balance is missing in Silverfin.


Solution

  1. Create a new general ledger account in Odoo, for example, 999998.
  2. Transfer the amount from account 99999 to the new general ledger account 999998.
  3. Make a manual entry in Odoo to move the amount to the correct account, ensuring that the opening balance is displayed correctly in Silverfin.
  4. Then post this adjustment back in Silverfin to complete the synchronization.

By following these steps, you ensure that the closing balance appears correctly in Silverfin after synchronizing with Odoo.
