When using Odoo, the closing balance is automatically posted to an internal general ledger account, namely 99999. However, this internal Odoo account is not transmitted to Silverfin as a journal entry via the API. As a result, the closing balance is missing in Silverfin.
Solution
- Create a new general ledger account in Odoo, for example, 999998.
- Transfer the amount from account 99999 to the new general ledger account 999998.
- Make a manual entry in Odoo to move the amount to the correct account, ensuring that the opening balance is displayed correctly in Silverfin.
- Then post this adjustment back in Silverfin to complete the synchronization.
By following these steps, you ensure that the closing balance appears correctly in Silverfin after synchronizing with Odoo.
