Important information

The template 'Equity overview' is not designed for general partnerships (or other sole traders). For sole traders, they can use the template 'Equity and profit distribution per partner'.

What does the template 'Equity overview' do?

The template shows a complete overview of all components of equity, such as:

  • issued share capital,
  • share premium reserve,
  • revaluation reserve,
  • retained earnings,
  • and the result for the financial year.

This makes the template the central source for analysing changes in equity during the financial year.

How do you use this template in practice?

  • Check the displayed equity components and compare them with the figures in the balance sheet.
  • Verify that all movements (e.g. profit distribution, dividend payment, capital contribution or withdrawal) have been correctly processed.
  • Add explanatory notes where necessary for exceptional movements or corrections.

When the template turns 'green', this means that all checks have been completed correctly.
In that case, the template is automatically made available to be included as a movements overview in the financial statements.
