You may have noticed that if you try to export templates with attachments in them, you sometimes get an error similar to this:
This indicates that in the attached PDFs the system recongised a font that Silverfin cannot export. We automatically replace that font with a font that we do export.
This error message is therefor merely a warning, and does not require any action on your part. It is simply there to inform you that the attachments in the export might look a bit different than the originals.
The reasons why we do not support some fonts are twofold:
1. PDF is a very strange format and although it should be universal there are lot of incompatibilities when different producers are creating it. Therefore, even the same fonts can be unrecognized when the file is created by one software and read/processed by other. We have a learning opportunity here on finding appropriate fonts but although we probably can improve it, it will never be 100% precise.
2. Although 1. is mostly the reason for those errors, indeed some of those can be fixed with supporting new fonts, unfortunately, barrier for this is mostly legal, not technical, for a lot of fonts we don't have proper licenses and for some even paying is not enough since it is totally forbidden to embed those into pdf.
It is important to remember that is error is never blocking, and an export will be created either way.
