Signing in to Silverfin is straightforward, but the screen you land on depends on whether your firm has already been migrated to Visma Connect, the account system behind your Silverfin sign-in. This article shows you where to go in both cases, and points you to the detailed guides for the Visma Connect sign-in options.

Table of contents

Which sign-in screen should I use?

Silverfin is moving all firms to Visma Connect. Use the screen that matches your firm:

How do I sign in if my firm uses Visma Connect?

After migration you keep the email address and password you already use, but two-factor authentication (2FA) becomes mandatory for every user.

Signing in for the first time

At your first sign-in after migration you are guided through setting up 2FA and saving a one-time emergency code. The full walkthrough is in How do I sign in to Silverfin for the first time after migrating to Visma Connect?

If you had already set up 2FA before your firm migrated, follow How to sign in for the first time if 2FA was already set up before migration? (Visma Connect) instead.

Signing in every day after that

Once 2FA is in place, each sign-in asks for your email address, your password and your second factor. See How do I sign in to Silverfin once two-factor authentication (2FA) is set up? (Visma Connect)

How do I sign in if my firm has not migrated to Visma Connect yet?

  1. Go to the Silverfin login page. Navigate directly to the Silverfin login page by entering this URL: https://auth.getsilverfin.com/global_users/sign_in
  2. Enter your credentials. On the login page, enter your email and password to access your account.

Can I reach the sign-in screen from the Silverfin website?

Yes. You can also reach the sign-in screen by visiting the Silverfin homepage and clicking the Login button, which directs you to the login page.

What if my firm uses single sign-on (SSO)?

If single sign-on (SSO) is enabled for your account, authentication to the Silverfin platform is managed outside of Silverfin. Firms on SSO are migrated to Visma Connect through a separate process, so the steps in this article do not apply to them.

If you cannot sign in, contact Silverfin Support. Have your email address and your firm's name ready so we can help you faster.
