In Silverfin, you can create new accounts directly if they don’t yet exist in your accounting system. This is useful for tasks like budgeting or simulating adjustments when the account is not available in your accounting software. Read on to learn how you can add a new account in Silverfin.

There are two methods to create an account in Silverfin.

Option 1: Via Account tab

  1. In the file overview, navigate to 'Accounts'.
  2. Click the button 'New account'.
  3. Fill in the required fields.
  4. Click the button 'Create account'
  5. Click the 'Mapping' button to map the account.
The new account will appear greyed out until a value is booked on it.


Option 2: Via adjustment

  1. In the file overview, navigate to 'Adjustments'.
  2. Click the 'New Adjustment' button.
  3. Add the new account.
  4. Once the account is added and the mapping list is active, make sure the account is properly mapped. 

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage and integrate new accounts into Silverfin.
